EMERGENCIES

The Association has an emergency response system in place which notifies maintenance or management of a problem which occurs after hours or on weekends.

At Doverbrook, an emergency is considered to be something that cannot wait until the following morning or Monday morning if such should occur on a Saturday or Sunday.

Specifically, a fire, a flood or other event that immediately threatens property or human inhabitation.

As examples, slow drainage or low water pressure are NOT emergencies and should be reported to the office on the next weekday morning during regular business hours.

That said, in some instances, an emergency may pertain to elements that are the responsibility of the unit owner to repair or correct (i.e. hot water tank leak, no heat, broken unit pipe) and in those cases unit owners should contact the proper contractor or utility immediately and then, report it to the office during regular hours for any necessary follow up.  In an instance such as a fire or an individual being injured or in immediate danger, please call 911 immediately,

These guidelines allow the personnel who are on call to be prepared to respond to a true emergency when needed.

Thank you for your cooperation.
